Teachers can connect their Studies Weekly Online account to their Google Classroom. The two options include:
- Making the connection to existing Studies Weekly Online student users, ensuring student usernames match their Google Classroom email addresses.
- Import new students from Google Classroom into Studies Weekly Online.
At the beginning of each school year, you will need to update or import your students. The option to import Google Classroom students is not available for rostered schools and districts.
Teachers can manually change usernames for existing students to their Google Classroom email addresses.
From your Studies Weekly Online account and within the desired Classroom Card:
- Click the People tab.
- Edit each student’s username to match their Google Classroom email address.
- One at a time: Click on the three dots / action menu
to the right of the student and select Edit.

Teachers can import their students from Google Classroom into Studies Weekly Online.
From your Studies Weekly Online account and within the desired Classroom Card:
- Click the People tab.
- Select the three dots menu
on the top right of the Students bar.
- Click Import Google Classroom Students.
A pop-up window will open where you will:
- Log in to your Google Classroom account.
- Select the the Google Classroom course that has the students you want to import.
- Click Add Students to Class.
A pop-up window will show that the import was successful. The student(s) will show up in your Studies Weekly Online classroom in the People tab.

Important
If you receive the below error, your school’s Google Workspace administrator has restricted access to certain applications including Studies Weekly Online.
