This article covers some of our most common questions we receive from OneRoster API users. Additional questions can be directed to email@example.com.
Why isn't the student I added to the roster able to log in?
Was the student added to the roster server and shared to Studies Weekly or were they just added to the SIS roster? Also, we sync your roster data on a nightly basis. Was the student added to the roster after last night's sync? From your admin account, can you see if the most recent sync was successful or is it showing up as failed? If your sync is failing, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org
Why can't our teachers invite co-teachers into their classroom?
Teachers, students, and classrooms created through automated rostering can only be updated through the roster. If a rostered teacher tries to invite a rostered or unrostered teacher to their rostered classroom, they will not be able to join. They will need to be added as a co-teacher of the classroom on the roster.
Why do my students see classes in their account that aren't associated with Studies Weekly?
Depending on the type of roster server the district is using, your district may be unable to filter out data from the SIS when we sync your roster each night. If they have the ability to, the district roster admin should filter out any teachers, students, and classrooms that aren't utilizing Studies Weekly Online.
