Flipbooks

In beta testing 

Studies Weekly Online flipbooks are an interactive, digital version of your printed Student Edition. It looks and feels like a real book allowing you to turn pages, zoom in on content, search, and navigate directly to specific sections without needing to download PDF files. 

Flipbooks can be found on the Table of Contents or in the Teacher Resources.

Navigating Pages

  • Click the arrow icons on the left or right sides of the screen.
  • Click and drag the corners of a page to flip it like a real book.
  • Click the Thumbnail View button (small grid icon) in the toolbar to see a preview of all pages and jump directly to one. 
  • Alternatively, type the page number into the page counter box at the top or bottom bar and press Enter.
  • Press the Left Arrow or Right Arrow keys on your keyboard to move backward or forward.
Zooming In/Out

  • Double-click anywhere on the page to quickly zoom in on text or images. Double-click again to reset the view.
  • Click the Zoom (+ / -) buttons on the bottom left toolbar to adjust the zoom level manually.
  • While zoomed in, use your mouse wheel or touchpad to scroll up and down, or click and drag the page to move around.
Search for a Specific Text

  • Click the Search button (magnifying glass) and the modal appears on screen.
  • Click and drag the Search modal to move it for an unobstructed view. Or move the Accessibility button with a click and drag.
  • Text within images will not appear in the search results. 
  • Article text within search results will not appear in entirety due to copyright.
Annotate

  • Open Annotations with the button in the lower right corner.
  • Use the provided tools to annotate directly on the flipbook.
  • Use the Done button to save your annotations
Stickers

  • Allow readers to add a sticker to a page of the book with a written note.
  • Look for the Sticker button at the top of the book on the right or left side.
  • Click and drag the button anywhere on the book.
  • Edit or Delete the note by clicking it again.
Accessibility

  • The Accessibility option shares the text version of the book with options to make the text larger or smaller.
  • Text will not appear in entirety due to copyright.
  • Click and drag the Accessibility button anywhere on screen.
