How to Navigate the School Admin Role

As a School Administrator using Studies Weekly Online, you have access to view all of the teachers, students, and classrooms connected to your school. School Admins also have the ability to log in as any teacher or student. This article will cover how to navigate your role. Additional information can be found in the Navigate Studies Weekly Online article.

School Overview Updated Version

  1. These tabs display the total number of Students, Teachers, and Classrooms connected to your school, which makes it easier for you to keep track of the total number of users. Each tab can be clicked to see the more details. If a classroom is inactive or has been deleted, it will not appear on the Overview Report for the school Admin and district Admin.
  2. The Search feature gives you quick access to type in the name of a student, teacher, or classroom you want to find. Use the Search button or click enter.
  3. If your school manually enrolls students in Studies Weekly Online, the ID column for students, teachers, and classrooms will say Not Rostered.

The Students and Staff tabs will display all the school users with a Studies Weekly Online account. When you click a student or teacher's name from the list, a modal will show the user's Details including the Log In As feature. This allows you to log into the account. Be careful not to answer questions as a student as those responses will be saved as the student's submissions.

The Classrooms tab will list all of the rostered or manually created classrooms in your school. When you click a classroom name, a modal will show the details including the grade level, teacher, and number of students assigned.
You will also see the option to click the Log In As feature to impersonate the teacher or students.

 Note

User level roles are easy to identify by the color of the navigational bar. A District Admin’s top bar is dark gray, while a School Admin’s bar is green. A Teacher’s bar is blue, a Student’s bar is purple, and the Family role is teal.
