Customizing Tests
All unit tests come ready-made, but you may also edit tests to customize them to your class needs.

Here's a step-by-step guide for Customizing Tests
- Log in to your online account
- Go to studiesweekly.com/online
- Enter username (email address)
- Enter password
- Click Login
- In the blue menu bar select the Publications tab
Activate the Test
All assessments are hidden from students by default. There are two ways to make assessments visible to the students:
- To activate test from the Publications menu, click on the Activate Test button to toggle it from red to green
- To activate test from the Edit Test menu, click on the Activate Test button to toggle it from clear to green
Customize a Test
- Select your publication icon from the list available
- Find the week you are working on
- To edit a test, find that option in the gear-shaped menu under “Actions.”
- Click Edit Test
Edit a Question
To edit an existing question:
- Click the blue Edit button on the question you would like to change
- Make any edits you wish to the question and/or answers provided
- Click Save Changes to save your modifications
Delete a Question
To delete an existing question:
- Click on the red Delete button on the question you would like to eliminate
- Confirm the delete by clicking Yes
Add a Question
To add a new question to the existing questions:
- Click on the green +Add New Question button
- Choose a question type from the drop-down menu
- Multiple choice
- True/False
- Open-Ended
- Check all that apply
- Sorting
- Matching
- Fill in the Blank
- Labeling
- Type in the question
- Type in the answer choices
- Choose the correct Answer
- Click on Add Question
Restore a Question
To restore a question to the original:
- Click on the red Reset Question button on the modified test item
- Confirm the change by clicking Yes, reset question
Restore the Test
To restore the entire assessment you have edited:
- Click on Reset Test from the toolbar
- Confirm the change by clicking on Yes, reset test
Print the Test
To print a paper version of an assessment click on Print Test from the toolbar.
This is especially useful if you have customized the test in any way.
Randomize the Test
This ensures that all users see the test questions in a different order when logging in. This is especially useful when students are in the lab together.
- Randomization is on by default
- To turn on Randomization click the toggle button in the menu bar until it shows green
- To turn off Randomization click the toggle button in the menu bar until it shows gray
Allowing Retakes
If you would like to allow a student to retake a test, go to that weekly unit.
- Click the gear-shaped menu under “Actions.”
- Click Test Scores
Allow retake for a single student
- Click on student's name on the left-hand side
- Click Allow Retake below their name on the right-hand side
Allow retake for multiple students
- Click the checkbox to the left of the first name category. This will select every student.
- Under Bulk Actions, click Allow Retake
When students log into their online accounts and click on that week, they will find a test available for them to take, or specifically, to retake.
Adjusting Test Scores
If you would like to adjust your students' test scores, go to that weekly unit.
- Click the gear-shaped menu under “Actions.”
- Click Test Scores
- Click on student's name on the left-hand side
- Click on the pencil next to the test score
- Manually adjust the students' score
- Click Save Changes
- If you have allowed the student to retake the test previously, you could click on a previous test score here as well
